HVCRC (+ULS version)
HVCRC is an advanced High-Temperature Low-Sag (HTLS) conductor designed to carry significantly more current than traditional conductors with minimal sag, even at high operating temperatures. It uses a carbon fiber composite core instead of steel, making it lighter and stiffer, while the aluminium strands ensure good conductivity. Ideal for reconductoring, HVCRC is mainly used in power grid upgrades to boost capacity without replacing existing towers, carrying up to 2x more current than ACSR of equivalent size. Core is made of high-strength carbon fiber surrounded by a protective layer of fiberglass, and all fibers are embedded into high glass transition temperature (Tg) epoxy resin. This core has a very low thermal expansion coefficient and high tensile strength.
