Paris, July 18, 2003 - Following an article of today in the French press, Nexans points out that it has not submitted an offer for the acquisition of the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) activities of Alstom.
Nexans has simply offered to the General Management of Alstom to pursue the discussions on the possible transaction conditions of this Division under financial conditions compatible with the structure of its balance sheet.
