A green data centre for the Saur Group

Migrating to faster speeds not only quickens data flow but improves cost and energy efficiencies.

Saur, a major player in water and sanitation services for local governments in France, decided to build a new data centre at Montigny le Bretonneux. The new data centre has to remain operational for a minimum of 10 years and consists of 550 servers installed in 330 m² of operational floorspace.

A Cat.7A copper cabling system with the GG45 connector was chosen to  allow a potential future bandwidth migration and maximise the opportunities for  saving energy. OM3 fibre optic cables connect the server room with the switches in the back-up cabinets.
