Characteristics & Applications
This reinforced cable is designed for duct installation (by pulling or blowing). Its PEHD external sheathe provides excellent friction properties. It contains up to 6 tubes with up to 12 fibres per tube.
This cable has the characteristics:
- Suitable for use in ducts *
- All dielectric design
- Central Strength Element (FRP: Fiber Reinforced Plastic)
- Rodent resistance with Glass yarns
- Up to 72 fibres
* This cable is not suitable for direct burial
Nexans fibre cable MG SP1466 can include MM62.5, MM50 and SM G652 fibres.
For MM we offer different grades of fibre to suit your application: GIGAlite, GIGAlite II, GIGAlite 3 (MM50 only) or GIGAlite 4 (MM50 only).
Installation
- Set cutter blade at 1.50 mm
- Cut and remove the outer sheath
- Cut the glass yarns and the central strength member (FRP)

- 6 gel filled tubes containing up to 12 individually coloured fibres
- Central FRP strength member
- Water swellable yarns
- Glass yarns reinforcement
