Jean-Marie Pivard appointed Corporate Vice President Internal Audit of Nexans
Paris, October 11, 2006 - Nexans, the worldwide leader in the cable industry, announces the appointment of Jean-Marie Pivard, 40 years old, as Corporate Vice President Internal Audit, effective October 9, 2006. He is also statutory Member of the Audit and Accounts Committee of the Board of Directors. Jean-Marie Pivard is joining from Lafarge Group.
After graduating from “Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris-ESCP” (Superior School of Commerce of Paris) and having a Chartered Accountant and Statutory Auditor degree, he started his professional career with Ernst & Young where he acquired a broad experience of Audit, in France and abroad.
After one year within the Paris office, he worked as project manager in Brazzaville, Congo, during two years, then, in the office of Ernst & Young in Bordeaux (France) where he was in charge of audit missions in the industry market. In 1995, he was appointed Director of the Audit Department in Libreville, Gabon. In 1999, back to Paris, he worked as Senior Manager then Director within the “Manufacturing” Department within Ernst& Young. In 2004, he moved to the Lafarge Group as Deputy Manager of Internal Audit.
