Nexans Harnesses, a subsidiary of the Nexans Group, is a flexible, innovative and reliable specialist in wiring systems (called harnesses). Its activities cover the complete process from feasibility study, design, manufacturing to the installation on industrial vehicles.
The offices of Nexans Harnesses are based in Huizingen (Belgium), the production sites in Slovakia and Tunisia.
To renforce its team in Huizingen, Nexans Harnesses is looking for a senior project engineer (M/F).
The function
You are in charge of different projects in the production of harnesses and electrical cabling systems. This role contains the following tasks
- You transfer client plans and specifications into production documents, necessary for the production of harnesses.
- You are in charge of the follow-up and elaboration of projects, the setup of time tables and material lists, the preparation of the production and the organization of project meetings, internally as well as externally.
- You are in regular contact with the clients, which involves short stays abroad, mainly in Europe.
- In the framework of the client-supplier partnership, you help the client in the development of new electrical cabling systems.
- You are the contact person between the production department and the client for problem solving, development or production of cables.
You report to the Engineering Manager of Nexans Harnesses.
Your profile
You are a dynamic industrial engineer (master), preferably in electricity-electronics or electro-mechanics, with some years of experience as a project engineer.
Thanks to you organizational talent and your sense for discipline and responsibility, you bring your projects to a favorable conclusion. Your technical knowledge, your analytical mind and your perseverance add to this success.
You communicate fluently with your clients in Dutch, French and English. Knowledge of German is an asset.
