Nexans has been awarded a turnkey contract worth in excess of 90 million euros by REE (Red Eléctrica de España), the operator of the Spanish power system and the owner of the power transmission grid, to create a new 115 km high-voltage (HV) submarine power link between the Islands of Mallorca and Ibiza.

Under a competence sponsorship agreement, the Group will meet all the cable needs of the new museum by supplying free low and medium voltage power cables, as well as data transmission cables and systems for the 28,000 sq.m building and the 22 hectares of grounds.
